Roofers in Eastleigh

Roofing and building in Eastleigh

Eastleigh is a former railway town between Southampton and Winchester. It grew up around the railway works in the late Victorian era, and its streets still show it.

JFC Roofing and Building covers Eastleigh and nearby Bishopstoke, Chandler's Ford and Hedge End for repairs, new roofs, chimneys and gutters.

Homes and roofs in Eastleigh

Eastleigh has rows of Victorian and Edwardian terraces built for railway workers, usually with slate or tiled roofs and shared chimney stacks, plus a lot of interwar and later housing. Terraces often have flat-roofed rear additions that need regular attention.

Local weather and your roof

Eastleigh is inland from the coast, so there is less salt than on the Solent shore, but it still gets wet westerly weather and frost. Older terrace roofs with original felt and tired flashings often start leaking after a hard winter.
